Ottawa plans to propose shared-risk pension plans for crown corporations and federally regulated companies, according to media reports.
Kevin Sorenson, minister of state for finance, is expected to announce on Thursday that the government will hold public consultations on the idea. He’ll be giving a speech at the Economic Club of Canada in Toronto later today.
The plans will reportedly be voluntary.
We’ll provide coverage of Sorenson’s speech on BenefitsCanada.com on Friday.
