Fidelity Investments has named Abigail Johnson as its new CEO.
She succeeds her father, Edward C. Johnson III, who will remain chairman of the firm.
Abigail started working at Fidelity in 1988 as an equity research analyst and will retain her role as president.
Fidelity was founded by her grandfather, Edward C. Johnson Jr., in 1946.
