Great-West Life announces new regional structure for group insurance, retirement teams

Great-West Life Assurance Co. has created a new regional structure as part of the realignment of its group insurance and group retirement teams into a single organization.

According to a notice from the organization, the new structure includes nine regions, focusing on firsthand knowledge of local markets.

The new structure includes:

  • The B.C. region, led by Francesco Di Scianni in Vancouver and including offices in Victoria, Prince George, Kelowna and Langley;
  • The Alberta region, led by Dave Crombeen, with offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer and Grand Prairie;
  • The mid-west region, led by David Devine, with a main office in Winnipeg and centres in Regina and Saskatoon;
  • Toronto and the surrounding area (Mississauga, Oshawa and Sudbury), led by Chad Shea;
  • The Toronto consulting office, led by Christine van Staden;
  • The southern Ontario region, led by Robert McMaster, with a main office in Hamilton and centres in Kitchener, London and Windsor;
  • The Ottawa region, led by Ernie Laporte, including an office in Kingston;
  • The Quebec region, led by Michael Henderson, with a main office in Montreal and offices in Brossard and Quebec City;
  • The Atlantic Canada region, led by Robert Gillis, including Halifax, Moncton, St. John’s and Saint John; and
  • Institutional investment solutions, led by Craig Christie in Winnipeg.
