Hub International Ltd. is acquiring Oakville, Ont.-based Mitchell Sandham Inc., an independently owned insurance brokerage company that provides commercial and personal insurance and employee benefits services.
The merger will provide Mitchell Sandham’s clients with enhanced resources and expertise, including a broader geographical reach across Canada and the U.S., said Mitchell Sandham’s chief executive officer, Aaron Nantais, in a press release.

“Mitchell Sandham has a strong reputation in the market for delivering outstanding client service and building a high-achieving sales team,” said Susan Murphy, president of Hub Ontario, in the release. “We are excited to have them join Hub. They will help us continue to advance our growth strategy in the region.”
The company is one of a number of Canadian benefits providers and consulting firms that Hub International has acquired over the last few years.
In 2021, it acquired Vancouver’s Rogersworks Inc., Calgary-based Wessex Financial Inc. And in 2020, the organization acquired Edmonton-based Benefex Consulting Inc., Quebec-based Azur Consulting Services Inc., Toronto-based Usefulideas, and HB Consultants as well as Edmonton-based Clearpoint Benefits Solutions.
