iA Financial Group is introducing a flexible, choice-based approach to bringing its employees back to the office post-coronavirus pandemic.
The approach, which combines both remote and office-based work, is designed to provide the majority of the organization’s more than 8,000 employees with the ability to choose where to work on a daily basis to be most effective, according to a press release.

“Our employees have consistently demonstrated performance, commitment and agility,” said Denis Richard, president and chief executive officer of iA Financial Group, in the release. “They have been able to take full advantage of the benefits of remote working. This is why we are moving enthusiastically and confidently towards a hybrid model with undeniable efficiency.”
In order to support its new approach, the organization is redesigning its office spaces, including by deploying new technology. The process will begin by the end of 2021.
iA Financial Group is one of several organizations moving to a hybrid working model. In June, American Express Co. said it will allow most employees to work three days in the office and two days in a location of their choice. The same month, Amazon.com Inc. announced its remote working plans. And in May, Google and IBM Corp. said they plan to shift the majority of their respective workforces to a hybrid work model post-pandemic.
