Another group of Heenan Blaikie staffers have found a new home.
Eighty-five of them have joined Lavery, de Billy, which is the largest independent law firm in Quebec. Forty-four lawyers, two notaries and 39 staff members have joined from the Montreal, Sherbrooke and Trois-Rivieres offices made the move.
Sixteen of the lawyers that joined worked in Heenan Blaikie’s labour and employment group.
Those that joined the Montreal office are Rhonda Grintuch (associate), Magali Cournoyer-Proulx (partner), Simon Gagné (partner), Norman A. Dionne (partner), Amélie Bélisle (associate), Mélanie Sauriol (associate) and Jérome Laflamme (associate).
Danielle Gauthier (partner), Jean-François Pagé (partner), Dave Bouchard (associate) and Geneviève Chamberland (associate) will work in the Sherbrooke office.
And Jean Boulet (partner), Marie-Josée Hétu (partner), Nicolas Courcy (associate), Ariane Lauzière (associate) and Myriam Lavallée (associate) will be in the office in Trois-Rivieres.

Earlier this month, Heenan Blaikie announced it would wind up its operations.
