Brian A. Murdock, CEO of TD Asset Management (TDAM), has resigned. He’s made a personal decision to return to the U.S. Originally from Greenwich, Conn., Murdock was previously president and CEO of New York Life Investment Management prior to joining TDAM.
Tim Wiggan will be joining TDAM as the new CEO on Feb. 4, 2013. Wiggan will transition from his current role as managing director and co-head, institutional sales, within TD Securities’ institutional equities business.
Murdock has agreed to stay on until Wiggan’s arrival. He has also agreed to assist with the leadership transition and with the acquisition of Epoch Investment Partners, a deal that was announced in early December 2012.
