Lyft Inc. is the latest employer to reduce its physical office space amid a shift to remote work.
The ride-share company will sublease a portion of its corporate offices in San Francisco, New York City, Seattle and Nashville, according to a report by Bloomberg, citing a person familiar with the matter. Roughly 44 per cent of the combined 615,000 square feet in office space will be rented out to other businesses.

In March, Lyft implemented a permanent flexible working policy that allows employees to choose where to work and live.
These cutbacks come after other major companies such as Amazon.com Inc., Meta and Twitter Inc. have made similar decisions regarding office expansions.
