Northern Trust appoints three

Northern Trust announced has named three financial industry professionals to fill key roles for its Canadian operations.

Edwin Wong has joined the company as Northern Trust Canada’s chief financial officer and Clyde Roach has been named the new Northern Trust Canada chief compliance officer. In addition, Andrew Tan has been named to a new position as senior product consultant.

Wong is a finance executive specializing in asset servicing and investment operations. Prior to joining Northern Trust, he was the head of fund services operations for Citigroup Fund Services Canada. Wong also held senior leadership roles with Unisen Inc., AGF Management Limited and Ernst and Young.

Roach brings more than 11 years of financial industry experience to his new role. He joined Northern Trust from Manulife Asset Management (MAM) where he served as managing director, investment compliance and business risk.

Tan has more than 25 years of industry experience. In his new role, he will be responsible for demonstrating Northern Trust’s technology applications to institutional investors. Most recently, Tan served as regional head of Northern Trust’s investment risk and analytical services for the Asia-Pacific region, where he was responsible for building risk and analytical client solutions.
