Jansa will be based in the London office and will report to Ziad Hindo, the pension fund’s chief investment officer. As a member of the investment executive team, Hindo will lead the investment activities and portfolio management in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The OTPP is also appointing Ben Chan as senior managing director of its Asia-Pacific market. Chan joined the OTPP in 2018 and was instrumental in growing investment activities in Asia, attracting critical talent to the region and overseeing the opening of its Singapore office.
Chan has over three decades of international experience in public and private equities, investment banking and accounting. He worked at Khazanah Nasional Berhad, the sovereign wealth fund of Malaysia, for 12 years before joining the OTPP in 2018, where he held progressively senior roles, including co-head of investments. In that role, he led investment activities in China, Vietnam and the Philippines.
“Our investment strategy calls for extensive investment capabilities and growth outside North America in the next five to 10 years,” said Hindo in a press release. “As head of EMEA and APAC, respectively, Nick and Ben will play critical roles in helping us achieve our growth and global ambitions. They will partner with our asset class heads to broaden and deepen relationships with our existing investment partners and make new connections in strategically prioritized areas.”
