And in a previously announced promotion, Stephen McLennan is now senior managing director of total fund management, a new department at the pension fund that will serve as the nerve centre for the chief investment officer’s office as the plan integrates its portfolio construction approach with its treasury and funding capabilities.
With more than 15 years at the Ontario Teachers’, McLennan’s previous roles include managing director of infrastructure and natural resources and director of fixed income and alternative investments. Prior to joining the pension fund, he was an associate in investment banking at Merrill Lynch.
