Some employees date their boss

Canadian workers have been mixing business with pleasure, maybe a little too much.

A CareerBuilder.ca survey finds 34% dated someone with whom they work. Of those who have had an office romance, 35% have dated someone in a higher position than them, and 18% have dated their own boss.

As if dating the boss wasn’t perilous enough, 16% of workers who have had an office romance have had an affair with a co-worker where one person involved was married at the time.

Nearly one in 10 workers (9%) fell in love working on the same project, and the same number (9%) coupled up at a company holiday party.

Almost half (46%) of workers who have had an office romance had to keep their relationship a secret. Nearly half (43%) of those workers have accidentally run into co-workers while out on a date with their office sweetheart.
