TDAM names new CIO

Bruce Cooper, currently vice chair of TD Asset Management (TDAM), will take on the role of chief investment officer effective January 2015.

He replaces Satish Rai, who has decided to retire after 27 years with the company. Rai will stay on in his role until January to ensure a smooth leadership transition.

Cooper joined TD in 1993 and currently leads the fundamental equity, quantitative equity and asset allocation teams within TDAM.

“I am thrilled to welcome Bruce to my senior leadership team,” says TDAM CEO Tim Wiggan. “He is a strategic leader with deep investment industry experience.”
