William Tsotsos has joined Old Mutual Asset Management (OMAM), the U.S.-based global asset management business of Old Mutual plc, as senior vice-president and head of Canada.
He will lead the organization’s marketing efforts in the Canadian institutional marketplace.
In his new role, Tsotsos will focus on introducing the diverse investment capabilities of OMAM’s nine affiliate firms to institutional investors through the plan sponsor, consultant and sub-advisory channels.
Tsotsos joins OMAM after five years as a managing director at Baring Asset Management, where he served as senior relationship director responsible for business development, consultant relations and client service in Canada and the U.S.
Prior to that, he was director of institutional sales at Scotia Cassels Investment Management. Tsotsos has also held senior sales and client service positions at PIMCO Canada and Standard Life Investments.
