Ian Russell has been named chair of the Standing Committee on Regulatory Affairs by the International Council of Securities Associations (ICSA).
He’s currently IIAC president & CEO, and the first Canadian to hold this position.
“Leadership of the Committee will provide a window on the global regulatory agenda, notably in Europe, the United States and Asia,” he says.
The Committee serves as the overall co-ordinating agency for ICSA on regulatory matters and routinely submits position papers to global regulatory bodies such as the Financial Stability Board and the International Organization of Securities Commissions.
