Dustyn Lanz will succeed Deb Abbey as chief executive officer of the Responsible Investment Association, effective Jan. 1, 2018.
Lanz has worked with the Responsible Investment Association since 2013, most recently as chief operating officer. Other roles with the association include director of communications and member affairs and associate of research and communications. He has also worked as a researcher at the Centre for International Governance Innovation and York University’s faculty of environmental studies.
“Dustyn’s industry expertise, market understanding and passion for responsible investment will build on the success that Deb has helped the RIA to achieve, ” said Jason Milne, chair of the association’s board of directors and vice-president of corporate governance and responsible investment at RBC Global Asset Management Inc.
Abbey is retiring following a five-year tenure in the role. “Deb has done an absolutely incredible job of leading this organization since 2013, and we wish her the very best in retirement,” added Milne.
