Scotiabank launches wealth management brand

Scotiabank has launched its new Scotia Wealth Management brand, which will represent several of the bank’s wealth management businesses going forward.

The bank’s website says, “Scotia Wealth Management consists of a range of financial services provided by Scotiabank. [That includes] the Bank of Nova Scotia Trust Company, Private Investment Counsel (a service of 1832 Asset Management L.P.), 1832 Asset Management U.S. Inc., Scotia Wealth Insurance Services Inc., and ScotiaMcLeod (a division of Scotia Capital Inc.).”

Scotiabank made the move because it finds clients are demanding more comprehensive advice. “We are breaking down silos and taking a team-based approach,” says James O’Sullivan, group head of Canadian Banking at Scotiabank.

However, HollisWealth and Scotia iTRADE will continue to operate under their own brand identities.
