The S&P/TSX Composite Index has closed at its highest level ever.
On Wednesday, the index rose 53 points to close at 15,109.25. The previous record close was 15,073.13, which was on June 18, 2008.
The index is still below its intraday high of 15,154, which was reached six years ago this month.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 both bolted past their post-financial crisis highs in 2013 and have continued to move higher over the past year.
