The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board is appointing Caitlin Gubbels as senior managing director and global head of private equity.
In this role, she’ll lead the investment organization’s teams dedicated to direct private equity, Asian private equity and private equity funds and secondaries. Gubbels joined the CPPIB in 2010 and was most recently its head of funds.

She succeeds Suyi Kim, who’s leaving the organization after 17 years to take on new global investment leadership opportunities, according to a press release.
“Caitlin’s proven ability to build relationships and generate returns across private equity opportunities makes her ideally suited to take on this expanded leadership role and contribute meaningfully to the senior management team,” said John Graham, president and chief executive officer, in the release.
