Common Wealth is teaming up with James Evans and Associates Ltd. to support the former’s retirement plans with member-focused, self-service plan administration and record-keeping technology.
JEA’s technology allows employers with capital accumulation plans to access certain customization tools, including plan design, branding, communication and education for members. It also incorporates features like default investment choices and auto-escalation.

“Having led administration for two of the country’s leading pension plans, we know firsthand the importance of a record-keeping platform that’s secure, effective and affordable,” said Jennifer Brown, co-head of plan operations at Common Wealth.
“The software builds on the JEA technology that serves some of Canada’s largest and most successful public pension plans. We are both honoured and excited to bring our collective experience to those not covered by traditional [defined benefit] pensions.”
